Hello, my name is India Aono-Billson I am a graphic designer specialising in book and editorial design. I have become fascinated with book design with creating publications, the physicality, materiality and the immutability of books. I try to work with an ethical approach wherever possible I take a sustainable stance with all aspects of my production techniques.

For my final project, in Unit 10. I wanted to explore my cultural identity through the half that is the Japanese me. Japanese culture has shaped, formed and defined me through its language, the food and the pieces I hold dear to me and recognise as significant. As a whole, they are the essence of my being.The two videos, two books and accompanying printed pieces are ‘interpretants’ of what I discovered.
